We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting leader with a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting, preferably coming from public accounting. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee external reporting, ensure compliance, and support high-level financial transparency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other disclosures)
• Ensure financial statements and disclosures comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
• Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards
• Coordinate closely with external auditors and manage audit processes
• Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)
• Partner with FP&A, accounting, and executive leadership on reporting and analysis
• Review complex transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment
• Mentor and develop accounting and reporting staff
• Drive improvements in reporting processes, timelines, and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Active CPA required
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
• Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with SEC reporting and filings
• Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting guidance
• Experience with SOX/internal controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
