We are looking for a Director of Financial Reporting to work for our client headquartered in Cleveland. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the external financial reporting process, working in coordination with the Controller and senior leadership
• Monitoring and resolution of technical accounting and reporting issues as they arise pertaining to financial reporting
• Define and develop short-term and long-range strategies for financial reporting
• Conduct meaningful proactive analysis to improve financial decisions
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports and present variance analyses recommendations to management
• Establish and maintain systems and controls to ensure the integrity of all systems, processes, and data
• Report on key operating metrics timely and accurately
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years financial reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload
