Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Associate, you will:
- Develop Financial Models: Create sophisticated financial models to analyze and present financing opportunities to lenders and stakeholders.
- Prepare Lender Presentations: Design detailed presentations for multimillion-dollar financing transactions, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Draft Technical Reports: Prepare comprehensive documentation for R&D tax credit petitions in compliance with Puerto Rico’s regulations.
- Manage Incentive Applications: Oversee applications for government incentives, including federal grant funding opportunities and local cash grants.
- Conduct Project Analyses: Perform quantitative and qualitative evaluations to assess project viability and ensure compliance with applicable laws and incentive programs.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay Current on Legislation: Monitor changes in Puerto Rico’s tax and incentives laws to provide accurate and timely guidance.
- Participate in Client Engagements: Attend meetings and presentations, showcasing excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Lead Process Improvements: Drive cross-departmental initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.

Skills
- Complex Financial Modeling: Ability to create sophisticated financial models that support forecasting, valuation, budgeting, and decision-making. This includes proficiency in Excel and other financial modeling tools, as well as the ability to build models from scratch for different business scenarios.
- Financial Statement Analysis: Expertise in analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) to assess company performance, financial health, and key metrics. This includes conducting ratio analysis, trend analysis, and benchmarking against industry peers.
- Industry Research and Market Analysis: Experience conducting comprehensive industry and market research, including understanding market dynamics, competition, and economic factors. The ability to synthesize research findings into actionable insights for business strategy and investment decisions is critical.
- Valuation and Investment Analysis: Strong understanding of various valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis. Experience with evaluating investment opportunities, assessing risk, and providing strategic recommendations.
- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex financial problems, often under tight deadlines. A strategic mindset is essential for developing financial models and conducting research that drives business decision-making.
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, including the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial and market data.

Qualifications
