Financial Analyst - Atlanta

Our Atlanta based client is looking for a Financial Analyst. The Analyst is responsible for compiling and analyzing large data sets and financial statements, assisting in forecasting, budgeting and ad-hoc duties, generating KPI metrics and working closely with the operations team to educate and communicate financial data and reports.

Duties

• Access and compile raw data to identify and document trends and provide explanation and understanding of performance
• Assist in monthly financial and reporting duties as well as various ad-hoc analyses
• Assist with recurring forecasting process by gathering and compiling various data sets, analyzing trends, analyzing variances and current performance metrics, and partnering with department leadership to obtain key assumptions
• Assist with budgeting process and related projects
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly field reporting
• Coordinate and plan timing for financial and operational deliverables
• Standardize weekly and monthly recurring duties to find efficiencies in processes
• Develop and maintain various store level and consolidated reporting
• Perform other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate for this position will have 1-3 years of experience in a finance, accounting or analytical role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
• Experience using SQL or Tableau is a plus
• Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Ability to work with large and varying types of data sets quickly and accurately to produce desired outputs
• Self-motivated with a drive to increase efficiencies and improve workflow processes
• Possess the drive to grow and evolve within the company and take on higher level project-type duties over time
• Comfortable working in a small office environment and collaborating effectively with others
