Job Descriptions:
- Prepare proforma budgets for development projects in close coordination with the land development, construction, sales and accounting teams, including sensitivity analysis for various market conditions
- Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis for development projects on an ongoing basis and prepare quarterly reporting
- Monitor and forecast cash flows for development projects and ensure sufficient and timely funding
- Prepare financing packages for lenders and assist with the underwriting and closing of credit transactions
- Coordinate with the accounting team in the preparation of monthly draw reports for lenders for development projects
- Proactively and positively engage with external stakeholders including lenders and lawyers to maintain key relationships and advance financing transactions
- Other ad hoc work and special projects, as maybe required time to time
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
- 2-3 years of work experience in finance or accounting functions, preferably within the real estate development industry
- Professional designations (e.g. CPA or CFA) or unique real estate experience considered an asset
- Preferred attributes: strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, detail oriented and excels working in a fast-paced environment
- Expert knowledge of Excel
- Experience in ERP construction software Newstar Enterprise considered an asset
