Title: Financial Analyst

Department: Financial Planning and Analysis
Reports To: Sr. Director of Finance
Location: Lyndhurst, New Jersey

General Summary:
SPARC Group is looking for a Financial Analyst responsible for supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis team with the annual budgeting process, month-end close and the financial process of field payroll planning. This role will work closely with finance leadership, store operations and various business partners across the organization. This role will focus on the Direct to consumer side of the business with a primary focus on multi brand field payroll and ecommerce.

Responsibilities
• Develop and create multi brand payroll reporting and analysis to optimize field payroll spend
• Work with Payroll manager to compile and analyze field census, average hourly rates, Sales per hour (SPH) and coverage by brand/business model
• Own the creation, maintenance and accuracy of monthly store payroll and store bonus model
• Present PR forecasts while identifying risks and opportunities to budget and forecast
• Develop and maintain weekly payroll model to understand future payroll needs based on forecasted sales and operational activities i.e floor sets, holiday shifts, physical inventory, minimum wage increases etc.
• Create, maintain and communicate weekly/monthly reporting
• Assist in the creation and management of DTC operating expense budgets
• Analyze and visualize large data sets to report and explain business results with KPIS
• Partner with finance team counterparts to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the financial planning process deliverables
• Work closely with business partners to report and analyze actual results, with thoughtful explanation of variance to budget and LY
• Assist management with expense request proposals (CAPEX and OPEX), analyzing project ROI and impact to business
• Develop ad-hoc analytical reports and tools to meet the changing needs of the business

Position Requirements
• 2-3 years relevant work experience in Retail Financial Planning & Analysis
• BA or BS in Business or Finance or a related field
• Advanced excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and able to multi-task
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze situations and make recommendations that are consistent with company vision
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities while working, fast paced, specialty retail environment
• Experience with Day force and MicroStrategy a plus
