Primary Function of the Position
The Finance Transformation team is an innovative, results oriented team within the Corporate Accounting Department. You will partner with business leaders, IT, Accounting, Finance peers, and teammates to drive process improvement efforts and new initiatives. The goal of this role is to analyze pain points and review gaps in the existing complex business processes end-to-end, strategize and make recommendations for solutions to optimize efficiency and quality across accounting and reporting, and drive execution of the process improvement initiatives to realize our future-state.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand the Company’s Inventory Management, and commercial objectives and how they translate into the need for efficient, repeatable, and scalable business processes and operations
- Develop process road map for execution of various process optimization initiatives
- Analyze existing processes, including documentation of existing and future flows. Recommend process improvements to address corporate priorities and objectives
- Drive successful and timely execution of process improvement and other initiatives against project plans.
- Lead the design and execution of “to-be” processes or major enhancements; work with IT and SME’s to collect, define, and implement business and system solutions – provide business requirements and coordinate requirements with other business users, leading test scope, review results of user acceptance testing, and create cutover plan.
- Lead change management and communications across the business for related initiatives. Drive change management initiatives in the controllership org to ensure proper adoption of new processes, and system changes
- Facilitate trainings thru creation of business process documents to accelerate understanding of new processes, systematic changes. Manage timeliness and completeness of desktop procedures library
- Define success metrics of projects with key business partners and measure and report metrics. Continuously promote organization improvements by managing key metrics and benchmarks
- Assess changes to control environment and design appropriate changes to controls. Drive alignment of changes with stakeholders.
- Support business users on ad-hoc process inquiries regarding new process/enhancements support, or non-standard transaction process inquiries
- Present project updates to management or cross functional teams to enable project alignment
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 7+ years of experience related accounting or related field (experience in public accounting preferred) with strong fundamental accounting knowledge.
- Experience and strong understanding across Inventory Management
- Strong fundamental accounting knowledge (ASC 606, or ASC 842).
- Knowledge of controls processes and COSO framework
- Detail oriented, organized, motivated and able to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial reporting impacts and strong understanding of data flows
- Outstanding project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and skills; inclusive of written and verbal communications. Ability to interact effectively with cross functional teams
- Proven self-starter with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to establish clear priorities and goals
- Agility - Ability to understand root cause and identify solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once.
