Finance Officer
Job Description
Our client is a vertically integrated FMCG business who is looking to hire a Finance Officer. The Finance Officer will support the Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial health and managing day-to-day financial operations. The role will involve budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and supporting the leadership team with financial insights to ensure business success.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial reporting and analysis
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collect and organize financial data for analysis and reporting.
- Support the analysis of financial performance by preparing relevant data and reports.
Budgeting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Track budget expenditures and compare them against financial projections.
- Gather financial data to support budget adjustments based on business changes.
Cash flow and treasury management
- Monitor cash inflows and outflows to support liquidity management.
- Assist in maintaining cash flow reports and forecasting future cash needs.
- Support the finance team in ensuring timely payments and fund allocations.
Cost control and profitability management
- Assist in tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collect data for cost analysis and help monitor spending across departments.
- Support profitability analysis by compiling reports on revenues and margins.
Internal controls and compliance
- Assist in maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Help prepare documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Ensure financial records are accurately maintained and up to date.
Strategic financial guidance
- Provide support in financial research and data collection for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management.
Team
- Support the finance team in meeting deadlines and ensuring data accuracy.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Assist in maintaining a well-organized and structured finance department.
Requirements and Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus).
- At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of financial software and systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Strong project management skills, showcasing extensive experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
