Job Description

A reputable healthcare organization is seeking to hire a Finance Manager to oversee its finance/accounting department. The ideal candidate will report to the General Manager, and shall be responsible for the preparation and reporting of financial numbers to management as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks for accounting and tax reporting.


Key responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to guide business planning.
Budgeting and Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to senior management.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual budget
  • Provide detailed financial analysis on monthly performance
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, and third parties, and negotiate financing terms and conditions.

Internal Controls and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Design and maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international financial regulations, including tax compliance.
  • Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and standards and implement necessary adjustments.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analysis to identify potential financial threats and opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on financial best practices and new regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Prepare and present financial reports and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree and professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ICA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel etc.).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
