Tekberry is seeking a highly qualified, motivated and hands-on Finance Director for our client, a world-class, award winning healthcare facility in Sonoma County, CA. Our client provides essential healthcare services to residents in the North Sonoma County and the surrounding regions. They are a critical access district hospital delivering a variety of services to the local community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Finance Director will provide operational, business and AR/AP, fixed assets, property tax reporting, cost accounting, and auditing.
  • Assist in overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring and effective utilization of the financial resources of the hospital, working closely with the appropriate teams.
  • Ensure that all accounting operations are in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Timely and accurate financial reporting - monthly financial analysis and reports, including departmental budgets.
  • Identify and make recommendations for productivity improvements, cost saving, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure internal controls are established to assure integrity and reliability of those systems.
  • Give input for establishing strategic goals and priorities based on organizational need assessments.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, MS preferred.
  • 10 years progressively responsible experience in healthcare finance with a proven track record of executing and delivering results on time and budget.
  • Financial effects and reporting requirements of Medi-cal, Medicare and health plans, as well as OSHPD disclosure reports, cost reports.
  • Merger/acquisition experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • General ledger experience
  • Experience with California supplemental and IGT (intergovernmental transfers)
  • Payroll experience
  • Strong database, excel and reporting skills (Medhost)
  • Critical access hospital experience preferred
