Finance Controller

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Finance Controller to join our team. The role is central to leading our financial operations and strategic financial planning. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in developing accounting policies, overseeing financial transactions, compliance, and reporting to ensure the organization's fiscal strength and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of financial and accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and publication of monthly financial statements and management reporting.
  • Lead the coordination and preparation of all regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
  • Refine and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Facilitate and optimize month-end and year-end close processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, leveraging best practices to enhance business outcomes.
  • Work closely with external auditors to manage audit processes, ensuring adherence to financial laws and regulations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate financial information across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in a financial leadership role.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution of financial strategies.
  • Advanced leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Prior experience in financial reporting and tax planning for a mid to large-sized company.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance standards.
