Finance Associate Attorney - Corporate Finance and Asset Servicing

Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, our prestigious AmLaw 50 law firm offers an exciting opportunity within its Finance Practice Group for a Finance Associate Attorney specializing in Corporate Trust, Agency, and Asset Servicing. This role involves engaging with complex finance transactions in a dynamic team environment. You will provide strategic legal counsel across a broad spectrum of financial law areas, enhancing client solutions and driving legal innovation.

Salary: $225,000.00 - $235,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on intricate finance transactions, including securitization, loan and bond financing, and structured finance matters.
  • Represent clients across various stages of transactions which involve drafting, negotiating agreements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams within the firm to advocate on behalf of corporate trustees, agents, and servicers.
  • Manage workout and restructuring transactions, developing solutions for financial challenges faced by clients.
  • Strengthen client relationships with proactive communication and strategic advisement.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic track record.
  • Must have active bar admission.
  • 1–2 years of substantial experience in transactional and/or workout contexts related to securitization, corporate finance, and structured finance.
  • Experience in representing corporate trustees, servicers, and agents is needed.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple projects and clients under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a top-law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in collateralized loan obligations and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills specifically tailored to finance law.
