Finance & Administrative Manager
Job Description
The Finance and Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing MOBA’s financial and administrative management systems, ensuring financial integrity, transparency, accountability, and compliance with applicable financial standards and internal policies. The role supports strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and effective budget management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Management
- Prepare, manage, and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in line with accepted accounting standards.
- Oversee payments, receipts, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Ensure effective financial controls are implemented and maintained.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, NEC, and Council.
- Support internal and external audit processes and respond to audit queries.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, donor requirements, and MOBA financial policies.
Support to Resource Mobilisation
- Track utilisation of funds raised through donations, sponsorships, and grants.
- Support donor reporting and financial accountability for funded projects.
- Provide financial insights to support fundraising and resource mobilisation initiatives.
- Lead and oversee all administrative operations of the Secretariat to ensure efficient, compliant, and well-coordinated office systems.
- Establish and maintain robust document management, filing, and records-keeping systems (physical and digital).
- Manage official correspondence, communications, and document flow between the Secretariat, NEC, Council, donors, and external stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and document meetings of the Finance Committee, NEC, and Council, including agendas, minutes, attendance records, and resolutions.
- Develop and enforce administrative policies, procedures, and controls in line with MOBA governance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Administration, or a related field
- Professional certification (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA) strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant finance or accounting experience
- Strong analytical, reporting, and financial management skills
- Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Must be an Mfantsipim Old Boy with a strong relationship within the MOBA community
