Position Overview
The Field Service Manager will oversee the maintenance and service operations of our MV/HV GIS and Circuit Breakers. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring customer satisfaction while building and managing a team of field service technicians. The position requires approximately 50% travel nationwide for on-site service, warranty calls, and customer support, with the remainder based at our facility for in-shop equipment maintenance and team management.
Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of MV/HV GIS and Circuit Breakers at customer sites and in the facility shop.

Lead and supervise warranty service calls, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.

Build, train, and mentor a team of field service technicians as business demands increase.

Develop and enforce safety protocols and best practices for all field operations.

Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and resource planning for field assignments.

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding equipment service and support.

Provide detailed service reports and feedback to engineering and product teams to support continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining MV/HV Gas-Insulated Switchgear and Circuit Breakers.

Demonstrated experience leading and managing field service teams.

Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers at all levels.

Comfortable with travel (approx. 50%).

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).
