Field Service Technician

About the Company:
Our client specializes in the manufacturing of flat glass and IG processing machinery. Operating for over 40 years they have numerous plants across Canada, US & Europe.

They are looking to bring onboard an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Install and service new and existing manufacturing equipment
• Maintain report with new and existing customers
• Analyzing issues, conduct testing & identifying solutions
• Install parts for the assemble machinery
• Complete work orders & report on site activity
• Write detailed reports and import pictures and files
• Willing to work some weekends
• Have your own vehicle to travel across the GTA and complete Installs

Requirements:

• Licensed 442a Electrician is considerred an asset
• Technical Degree in Mechatronics or Controls Technology
• Minimum 5+ years related or equivalent field experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to read and understand Industrial Electrical drawings & equipment manuals
• A good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, & electrical systems
• Machine Maintenance 1 year preferred
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to work independently and as part as a team
• Metric Hand Tools is a MUST (Allen keys, Metric Wrenches up to 19mm, Standard Screwdrivers, Precision Screwdrivers, Hammers, Pliers, & Punches etc.
• Must be comfortable using a computer (Word, Excel, & Email), Capable of using a Smartphone
• Able to travel for long periods at a time
