Field Service Technician

Location: Reports to Conduent Traffic Management Center in Torrance, Ca

Work Schedule: M-F 9am-5pm & on-call rotation.

Level of Experience-Technical background

Starting Pay Rate: $30 an hour (Note that part of the work will be a prevailing wage rate of $40 plus an hour), which will be discussed further during screening)

Job Description

Daily Lane Remote Checks

  1. They are done at the office or at home using a laptop or desktop.

Weekly Onsite Checks

  1. drives to all 21 toll site cabinets (2 days’ worth of work approx. for 2-3hrs each day)
  2. duties: maintains toll collection cabinets, & conducts visual inspections

Toll collection equipment for LA Metro Express Lanes (I-10, I-105. & I-110 fwys).

Field Work (when required)

  1. troubleshoot, install, & replace toll roadside equipment (CCTV camera equipment, Sensys equipment, cabinet ac units, servers, antennas, rewire UPS transfer switches, install security hasps, & locks on toll cabinets, UPS power distribution units)
  2. Pull Ethernet cable & crimp RJ-45 connectors
  3. Tools used (basic hand tolls/screwdrivers, wrenches, power operated drills, laptop, also drive & utilize truck with hydraulic lift (bucket van)

NOTE:

Employee must have standard hand tools including hand drill, impact, batteries, charger, and a few basic hand tools.

Must have valid DL

Must not be afraid of heights
