Field Service Manager

Job Description

Service Manager – Industrial Electrical Systems

  • Our client is a leading provider of motor control and automation solutions. We're looking for a hands-on leader to oversee field service operations, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure top-notch technical support for our industrial control products and systems
  • Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical control systems
  • Ensure high-quality customer support and timely response to service requests
  • Manage service logistics, scheduling, and field inventory
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to service process improvements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of managerial or leadership experience
  • Doesn’t need to be a formal people manager, but must understand effective team operations
  • Oversee a team of 8–10 field service technicians, including a lead tech; requires at least 3 years of leadership experience and strong team management skills
  • Must have a strong manufacturing background
  • Strong background in industrial controls, electrical systems, or power electronics
  • Bring a solid background in manufacturing; knowledge of motor controls, low/medium voltage drives, and soft starters is a plus
  • Travel: Up to 25% (realistically closer to 10-15%)
  • Location & Work Model: Preferably located within ~30 miles of Pittsburgh; fully on-site to start, with potential for hybrid work after 6 months
