We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturer of analytical instruments used across the food, beverage, and agriculture industries. With a long history, strong employee retention, and steady demand for its products, this is a company known for stability and treating people well. This field-based role supports customers across Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. It is a great fit for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on technical work, and building strong customer relationships. You’ll work with a variety of instruments and serve as a trusted resource for installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and maintain analytical instruments.
- Support customers onsite, by phone, and through internet-based troubleshooting.
- Work with technologies including NIR, FTIR, Flow Cytometry, and X-Ray.
- Manage service needs across a multi-state territory.
- Deliver strong technical support while building customer trust.
Who You Are
You’re a self-motivated technical professional who enjoys solving problems and working directly with customers. You are comfortable being on the road, managing your schedule, and representing the company in the field. You may come from field service, military training, or a technical education in electronics or physics. What matters most is your ability to troubleshoot, communicate well, and provide dependable service.
Preferred Experience & Attributes
- Prior field service experience supporting instruments or equipment.
- Background in electronics or physics.
- Military or technical school experience is welcomed.
- Ability to travel at least 90% of the time, mostly by car.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills.
- Must be able to pass driving, financial, and criminal background checks.

Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Field Service Manager.
- Part of a team of 16 Field Service Engineers.
- Supports customers across Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
