Field Service Engineer - Medical Laboratory Equipment

Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and perform preventative maintenance on medical laboratory analyzers.
  • Quickly establish and maintain professional relationships with clientele to ensure service excellence.
  • Coordinate problem resolution efforts across the Field Support Group to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory of crucial tools and parts within company vehicle.
  • Conduct basic on-site training for clients on the operational aspects of the equipment.
  • Stay prepared for overnight travel as part of the service commitment to regional customers.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • AAS Degree in electronics, electro-mechanical technology, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service for medical or related technical equipment.
  • Proficiency in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Capacity to undertake overnight travel as required for job responsibilities.
  • Must be a current resident or have ability to work within the Jackson, Mississippi area without relocation assistance.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for the safety of our team and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience servicing medical laboratory analyzers highly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a field setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to facilitate training and customer interaction.

  • Strong technical proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic circuit diagrams and software diagnostics.
  • Effective time management and logistic planning capabilities.
  • Professionalism and capacity to manage sensitive equipment and client needs tactfully.
