Field Service Engineer - Medical Devices, Shreveport

Salary: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of medical laboratory instrumentation.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, acting as the face of the company during on-site visits.
  • Coordinate with the Field Support Group to troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered on-site.
  • Maintain the company vehicle inventory including tools, trunk stock (parts), and other necessary equipment.
  • Provide on-site basic operational training to customers regarding the appropriate use of instrumentation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related field is required.
  • Strong experience with electronics & electromechanical troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required for job duties.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as per company policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current or recent experience in the Medical Device industry, specifically with medical laboratory analyzers.
  • Experience in automated or robotic lab instrumentation would be advantageous.

  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
