Field Safety Coordinator

Recruitment Partners is working with a Joint Venture Company on a Large Pipeline Construction Project and is searching for experienced Certified Safety Professionals of all levels with steep slope experience for our client. This long-term contract role will be based out of Hope, BC and will require a 3 year commitment in an extremely demanding, fast-paced environment.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Following and providing health and safety support to all site personnel
  • Conducting basic safety inspections and training courses
  • Identifying site hazards and making the necessary corrections
  • Monitoring quality plan, inspection and test plan
  • Preparing job specific manuals, testing requirements and project materials
  • Collecting and maintaining all compliance documents for the project
  • Assisting project managers and field engineers with various responsibilities
  • Preparing safe workplace practices while managing safety incentives
  • Planning and organizing safety reports
  • Ensuring safety supplies and equipment are maintained
  • Taking safety meeting minutes as required
  • Providing orientations and training to all new and existing personnel

Your strengths include:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in the OHS field or equivalent
  • 4+ years of progressive Health and Safety experience in the Pipeline, Construction or Oil and Gas industry
  • Experience in steep slope environments will be considered an asset
  • Experience with large pipeline projects will be considered an asset
  • CSTS-09 and OSSA certifications are required
  • PSTS (Pipeline Safety Training System) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel is a must
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Strong understanding of safety documentation and terminology
  • The ideal candidate would come from a high volume, fast-paced environment in the Pipeline/Oil and Gas/Construction industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours
