We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineering Training Specialist to join our team, responsible for developing and conducting comprehensive training programs. Based in Northern New Jersey, this role focuses on electronics, electro-mechanical systems, software, and operational training related to medical instrumentation. Training programs may be conducted in-person at our Training Center or customer facilities, as well as virtually or via streaming platforms. This position is integral in enhancing client knowledge and ensuring effective use of our products, contributing directly to our clients' success and satisfaction.
Salary: $70,000 to $89,000 per year plus annual bonus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret technical procedures and government regulations to develop training materials.
- Design and deliver training sessions in various formats including in-person, virtual, and streamed content.
- Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to management, clients, and public regarding training programs.
- Create detailed reports, procedure manuals, and business correspondence to support training activities.
- Conduct lectures on installation, safety, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of medical instrumentation.
- Administer both written and practical examinations and report outcomes to the Training Coordinator.
- Maintain training equipment ensuring all devices are up-to-date and in good working condition.
- Engage with continuous improvement of training practices based on feedback and industry trends.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in developing and conducting training programs, particularly in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proficient in Database Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of medical instrumentation and its application in a clinical setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical device industry training.
- Advanced certifications relevant to technical training or adult education.
- Experience with remote training tools and software.
