Field Applications Sales & Service Specialist – Electron Microscopy (West Coast)

Life sciences/tools company seeking a specialist to sell and support electron microscopy (EM) consumables and prep tools across the West Coast. This role combines sales, customer training, and technical service, including troubleshooting and repair of EM prep tools. The territory is well-established and currently performing above target.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on SEM/TEM experience with a focus in materials EM (metallurgy, catalysts, polymers, petroleum; battery tech ideal)

• Strong sample prep skills (cutting, polishing, coating)

• 5–10+ years of lab-based EM experience, ready to transition into sales

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair EM prep tools

• Personality suited for sales and willingness to travel up to 70%

Preferred:

• Prior technical sales or field applications experience

• EM experience in battery materials

• Midwest home base near a major airport hub
