Feed and Grain Division Vice President

Ag 1 Source is looking for a Feed and Grain Division VP level for a highly regarded regional client, multiple grain handling locations and nice feed mill system. The chosen candidate will need a minimum of 15 years of strong, proven experience, as this role will report directly to the CEO and has the opportunity for company advancement with strong performance. For this role you must have 10+ years of grain buying/selling experience with sales with management, ingredient purchasing, contracting and CBOT, negotiating supply contracts, etc. This position will primarily manage and oversee Feed Mills and all the Grain locations sites, merchandizing department, operational staff, and have full P&L responsibilities for the locations and division. The CEO has exceptional management experience in feed, ingredients, grains, by-products and milling management industry.

This is a MUST relocate or be within 1 hour of main office headquarters position, NOT available for remote or hybrid option!

What will you be doing:

Providing total leadership for the grain, feed and ingredient departments
Overseeing all locations, pricing, contracts, inventory turns, delivery, feed, ingredient and commodity products and services
Developing and executing marketing plans & programs to enhance the growth of the organization
Full responsibility for all safety, quality and SOPs at each location working closely with EMS personnel
Establishing and managing the division’s profit and loss performance relative to budget expectations
Hiring, training, and leading "up" a high performing potential team of employees
Establishing and managing strategic relationships with large clients, integrator clients, vendors and external business partners

A successful candidate for this Feed and Grain Division VP role will possess the following:

Due to the level of responsibility in this role, the organization desires a 4 year degree in related field and/or 15 years experience in the high-volume feed and grain industry roles. They are requiring a minimum of 5 years of proven divisional management experience with ability to "prove" volume & margin growth, including supervising employees, sales/merchandizing teams, budgeting, P&L, operational efficiencies, and experience with government regulations.

B.S. degree minimum in Ag Business, M.S. or M.B.A. preferred
10+ years of industry related combined sales and sales management experience
5+ years of operational management experience with manufacturing, warehousing, freight logistics, inventory, pricing, contracts, etc.
15+ total years of overall industry experience
Very strong, proven track record of successfully leading teams to full potential and excellence in performance volume and margin growth
