FEED SALES MANAGER - LIVESTOCK

Primary focus will be Cow / Calf producers with an additional focus on other intensive livestock operations, both ruminant and monogastric across south central Saskatchewan. Our client provides a range of products and services to support growers and is currently looking to add a Livestock Specialist to their team of professionals, one who demonstrates day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthens their values, mission, and vision.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE FEED SALES MANAGER - LIVESTOCK
As the Livestock Specialist you will balance your time effectively and consistently between in-store presence and travel in the trade area to deliver expertise, products, and service. You will actively contribute to the rural communities and be a leader that understands the needs of the agricultural livestock producer who will put people first in the delivery of value and excellence.
By understanding the business challenges and needs of our livestock producers, you will provide an exceptional level of customer service by demonstrating your problem-solving skills, drawing on your knowledge and personal experience to provide meaningful solutions and be motivated to drive the business forward. You possess the passion and skills to foster meaningful change and sustainable growth.
AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?
Ideal candidates will offer:
- Degree or Diploma in Animal Science and/or interest & experience in the sector
- Proven experience in animal nutrition products, applications, and sales
- Excellent research and presentation skills
- Experience in ag retail is considered an asset
You possess a passion for livestock production and a commitment to continued skill and knowledge development, familiarity with feed quality determination (feed testing and analysis interpretation), as well as experience and knowledge of intensive livestock operations, both monogastric and ruminant. Part of your role will include traveling to meet with livestock producers and managing your own schedule.
