Our client is a globally established security technology provider with a long track record of delivering integrated solutions that protect people, facilities, and digital identities. Their platform spans physical access control, video intelligence, identity verification, and secure credentialing, supporting organizations operating in highly regulated and mission-critical environments.
They are seeking a Federal Business Development Manager to drive U.S. federal growth as a hands-on individual contributor. This role is focused on originating, shaping, and winning federal opportunities through direct customer engagement, capture execution, and partner collaboration—without people-management responsibility.
What You’ll Do

Own a personal quota and drive new federal revenue across civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies

Identify, qualify, and pursue federal opportunities from early-stage capture through contract award

Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, prime contractors, and integrators

Lead capture activities, including win strategy, customer engagement plans, and competitive positioning

Partner closely with product, engineering, and proposal teams to align solutions with federal requirements

Position integrated security, access control, and identity solutions against agency mission needs

Participate in customer briefings, industry days, and partner strategy sessions

Track federal market trends, agency priorities, and competitive activity to inform opportunity targeting

Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting
What You’ll Need

Proven success as an individual contributor in federal business development or capture

Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and procurement pathways

Experience selling complex, enterprise technology solutions into regulated or high-security environments

Established relationships across U.S. government agencies and the federal partner ecosystem

Ability to operate independently, manage multiple pursuits, and drive deals to closure

Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence skills
-
Comfort engaging directly with customers onsite in the Washington, DC area as required
