Primary Care Physician (FP/IM)

Title: Primary Care Physician (Family Practice/Internal Medicine)
Location: Birmingham, AL
Compensation: $230,000-$245,000 base salary plus quality metrics incentives and up to $20,000 in additional performance bonuses.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (No weekends or on-call nights)

Role Description: Our Primary Care Physicians practice at a single medical center with comprehensive support teams, enabling them to focus on delivering exceptional quality care rather than volume-based services. Our value-based care model and incentive structure reward positive health outcomes, reduced hospital admissions, preventive medicine, and superior patient experience. We seek physicians who are intrinsically motivated to provide excellent care to our senior adult population.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient panel of approximately 15-18 patients per day
• Provide comprehensive primary care services
• Prescribe and manage appropriate pharmaceutical treatments
• Utilize Canopy and Greenway EMR systems
• Collaborate with regional and central leadership to achieve quality health metrics
• Partner with Practice Managers to oversee and direct center care teams

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active, unrestricted state medical license
• Current DEA license
• U.S. work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fellowship training in Geriatrics (not required)
• Experience in geriatric medicine
• Background in value-based healthcare models
• Demonstrated success in collaborative healthcare settings
• Experience in outpatient primary care environments
• Bilingual proficiency where applicable (not required)
