Facility Maintenance Technician
Summit Employment is seeking a Full-Time Facility Maintenance Technician for a confidential aerospace manufacturer in Wichita, KS.
Job Duties:
May require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others in the office. Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests. Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs. Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.
Hours: some overtime maybe required. Must be available for on-call hours &/or emergency response situations.

Compensation: $25 to $35/HR.
Job Duties:
- Repairs on all machines, preventive maintenance on all equipment, troubleshooting, cleaning and upkeep on building and facilities
- Electrical, mechanical, welding, and plumbing duties
- Follow safety guidelines by wearing required safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and ear protection
- Support and sustain continuous improvement activities
- Complete maintenance requests in a timely and satisfactory manner
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Aerospace industrial maintenance experience a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Strong experience and working knowledge of electrical controls and prints required
- Experience and aptitude with power tools and similar equipment
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to work with production on scheduling repairs
- Excellent attendance
- High school diploma, relevant technical degree or relative years of experience requires
