Facility Engineer and Property Manager
Job DescriptionAbout the Role
The Facility Engineer and Property Manager will be critical in managing high-value commercial properties. This position involves overseeing property maintenance, infrastructure management, construction projects, and budget development to ensure properties deliver superior value to tenants and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Maintenance and Operations Management
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) function efficiently.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan of property assets.
- Manage tenant requests and ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction.
- Oversight and Control of Property Management and Infrastructure
- Supervise property management teams, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional tenant services.
- Monitor infrastructure and physical property conditions, proactively addressing any issues.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Construction and Facilities Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovation and construction projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
- Evaluate and manage contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost-efficiency.
- Enforce quality control measures during all construction and maintenance activities.
- Budget Development and Management
- Prepare and oversee annual operating and capital budgets.
- Track expenses, manage financial performance, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial property management, construction, or facilities management.
- Strong expertise in preventive maintenance, infrastructure oversight, and project management.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, building systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in budget planning, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
