We’re talking everything from doors and floors to the lights at all our sites - a jack of all trades leader that specializes in keeping everything pristine, functioning, and compliant.

The Facilities Manager will oversee general maintenance and repair of the plant, facilities, and building infrastructures to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and occupational safety requirements and regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage inspections, installations, maintenance, renovations, custodial functions, and repairs for facility structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general operational needs

• Oversee, schedule, delegate and manage employees and third-party contractors

• Thoroughly inspect facilities, equipment, and completed projects to ensure compliance with safety, quality, building codes, and company requirements

• Manage on-hand facility maintenance inventory, building materials, tools, and equipment and submit supply orders, as needed

• Support strategic and capital projects through research, design, negotiation, and recommendations

• Conduct or assign miscellaneous repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves and landscaping

• Project manage multiple facility projects and provide regular updates to leadership

• Create and manage facility budget

• Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately


REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, preferred

• 8+ years of experience in a general facility maintenance position, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment

• Extensive experience overseeing large construction or equipment installation projects

• General contracting and labor knowledge including the understanding of building codes, work permits, and local zoning ordinances

• Strong knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), OSHA and environmental standards

• Demonstrate proven success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and considerable negotiation skills are also needed to drive results

• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee and drive projects through completion in a timely, safe, and efficient manner

• Detailed-oriented with the ability to comprehend implications at a larger scope

• Comprehension of blueprints, schematics, equipment diagrams, and basic tools

• Player-coach leadership mentality with the ability to be hands-on while also managing a team

• Ability to lead multiple business initiatives in a manufacturing environment

• Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss and generate business reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents

• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
