Job Summary
The Facilities Coordinator ensures that all facilities and equipment for which the incumbent is responsible are in good, safe and efficient working condition in accordance with their specifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Identifies potential hazardous systems, equipment and practices in the work environment and recommends to the Director, Corporate Services, improvements, repairs or other means of correcting
- Assists in investigating unsafe conditions, injuries, illness and reports to the Director, Corporate Services, on such conditions and means of correction
- Monitors the Building Manager's discharge of its obligations m respect of scheduled maintenance, and ensures adherence to the schedule and proper performance of the required tasks
- Conducts safety checks and inspections of the building, services and systems, and ensures that all systems are fully functional and that timely repairs are undertaken.
- Makes necessary adjustments and coordinates minor repairs/replacements to building and equipment after consultation with the Director, Corporate Services
- Coordinates and assists with room set-up and layouts as required
- Coordinates and assists with arranging access to the building/floor via the Building Manager and Security
- Assists in the planning and implementation of projects for the repair, maintenance or addition or replacement of all facilities by preparing requests for quotations, making simple drawings/sketches, monitoring contractors
- Coordinates the service and maintenance schedules and repairs of the Companys vehicles and ensures that they operate properly and are available for use
- Conducts routine visual checks and inspections on the vehicles
- On authorization by the Director, drives and operates the fleet vehicles to assist with service, maintenance and repairs
- Assists with vehicle drop offs, collections, parking of vehicles
- Prepares access passes according to permissions and ensures staff can access the building as required
- Monitors access control and CCTV systems and reports any problems or challenges to the Director, Corporate Services.
- Issues memos and instructions to Security Officers as directed by the Director, Corporate Services.
- Documents and logs all reports, issues, repairs and upgrades in a timely manner
- Performs other job-related duties a assigned by the Director.
Job Requirements
- 5 CXC/ GCE 'O' level passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
- Certification in Mechanical/ Civil Engineering or related certification
- 2 years' experience in the maintenance of buildings and their services and equipment.
- Any equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience will be considered
