Opportunities Include

  • Busy downtown EDs with annual volumes exceeding 60,000 visits

  • Freestanding facilities with targeted case loads and fast access to hospital-based resources

  • Pediatric-equipped facilities with dedicated exam rooms and access to pediatric specialists

  • Freestanding EDs averaging 8,000 to 20,000 visits annually

  • Mixture of urban and suburban patient populations with broad clinical variety

  • Full radiology, lab, telemetry, CT, ultrasound, and PACS systems on-site

Position Details

  • Full-time, 1099 status with flexible scheduling up to 120 hours per month

  • 12-hour shifts with balanced APP coverage across all facilities

  • EMR: Meditech

  • Supportive, collegial teams with proven protocols and streamlined transfers

  • Direct access to consults, specialists, and pediatric backup where needed

  • Opportunities to practice at both hospital-based and freestanding locations

  • Academic appointment available at select sites

Candidate Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)

  • Emergency Medicine residency trained (MD or DO)

  • PALS certification required for facilities treating pediatric patients

  • Excellent communication and decision-making under pressure

  • Experience with high-volume or mixed-age EDs preferred
