FP&A Manager

A North Dallas manufacturing client is seeking a FP&A Manager to lead and own the FP&A process.

GENERAL DESRIPTION:

Our client is seeking a FP&A Manager to serve as a strategic finance partner to Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales. This role focuses on improving profitability, cost visibility, and financial performance through strong budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. The Senior FP&A Manager will play a key role in supporting production efficiency, inventory management, and capital investment decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Production cost analysis including material, labor, and overhead variances

• Annual budget and rolling forecast processes

• Financial modeling to support demand and capacity planning

• Margin and profitability analysis by product, customer, and channel

• Pricing and product mix decision support

• Capital investment and ROI modeling for equipment and plant improvements

• Standard cost development and maintenance

• Inventory performance and reserve analysis

• Monthly financial and operational reporting for leadership

• Support for new product costing and make versus buy decisions

• Process improvement and ERP reporting enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment

• Direct, hands-on experience defining and maintaining standard cost parameters within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor)

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences
