Extrusion Operator

A leading plastics manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to support production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion equipment used to extrude sheet plastics during the manufacturing process while ensuring production, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.

The ideal candidate will have prior extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot production equipment in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery used in the production of sheet plastics
• Set up, start up, and adjust extrusion lines to maintain product quality and production efficiency
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, material flow, and production output throughout the extrusion process
• Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate maintenance concerns as needed
• Perform quality inspections on extruded plastic sheet products
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime documentation
• Assist with material handling, line changeovers, and machine cleanings
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production goals

Qualifications:

• Prior extrusion operating experience preferred
• Experience within plastics manufacturing or sheet extrusion environments strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read measurements and follow production specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience extruding sheet plastics during manufacturing operations
• Forklift experience a plus
• Manufacturing experience within industrial production environments
