To prosper as a Extended Functions Dental Assistant, you should have:

• At least 3 years of continuous experience
• Dental Assistant Certification or Associate’s degree in Dental Assisting program
• Stellar verbal and written communication skills
• X ray certification
• Dentrix software knowledge a plus

More about your role as a Extended Functions Dental Assistant:

• Prepare patients for dental work
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, setting up trays
• including fillings, cleanings, root canals, extractions, crown and bridge work, dental implants, etc.
• Collect and record medical and dental history
