Export Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

The Export Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the international shipping process for our products. This position serves as the primary liaison between our company, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and global clients to ensure smooth export operations and compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and book shipments with ocean carriers, ensuring optimal routing and pricing
Process shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
Manage letter of credit transactions, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions
Track and communicate shipment status to internal teams and clients worldwide
Verify and process freight payments and related logistics costs
Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure proper customs clearance
Maintain accurate records of all export documentation for compliance purposes
Build and maintain relationships with global clients and service providers
Identify opportunities to improve export logistics efficiency and reduce costs
Stay current on international shipping regulations, documentation requirements, and industry best practices

Qualifications

Diploma + in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or related field
3+ years of experience in export logistics and supply chain, preferably with ocean freight
Strong understanding of international shipping procedures and documentation
Experience with letters of credit and international payment methods
Knowledge of export compliance regulations and customs requirements
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing priorities
Proficient with logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with diverse global stakeholders across different time zones
