Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff/Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role is perfect for a tax professional with at least 2 years of experience from smaller firms, or for someone who has recently been promoted to a senior tax accountant role. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a clear path for career growth. The candidate will begin working in our Glendale office, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid work model in the coming months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for a diverse range of clients.
- Tax Research: Conduct tax research and analysis to support complex tax filings and client inquiries.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and respond to tax-related questions.
- Compliance: Ensure that all tax filings comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Team Support: Collaborate with senior accountants and managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax returns.
- Professional Growth: Take on additional responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to move toward more senior roles within the firm.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of tax accounting experience, preferably from smaller firms. We are also open to candidates who have recently been promoted to a senior tax accountant role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
