Well-established automotive dealership is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their team. This is with a stable dealership with a positive reputation and loyal clientele. Full staffed shop with a strong team of technicians and stable management team. This position is available as the former service advisor was commuting over an hour to work each day for several years but now has a young family and needed to be closer to home. This is a great opportunity for an experience Service Advisor looking to get out of a corporately structured dealership and into a dealership where you're treated like a person, not a number.
The Service Writer plays a crucial role as the primary point of contact between our customers and our service department. It is important that the Service Advisor hired is great at communicating with customers, upselling with integrity, and ensuring that their ROs are closed out in a timely manner. Experience on CDK is highly preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Experience as a Service Writer at a new car dealership is required for this role. This is a family owned dealership with positive work conditions and many long-term employees. Uncapped earning potential. No late nights!
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers, assess their vehicle's service needs, and provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs.
- Service Advising: Prepare accurate service orders, estimate costs, and communicate timelines to customers while ensuring alignment with our high-quality standards.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between customers and service technicians, relaying any additional information or concerns as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate service records, invoices, and customer information.
- Scheduling: Coordinate service appointments, manage workloads, and keep customers informed of any changes or delays.
- Upselling: Identify potential upselling opportunities for additional services or maintenance based on vehicle condition and manufacturer recommendations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a positive customer experience by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring timely service completion.
- Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with automotive industry trends, service procedures, and manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer in a new car dealership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- A valid driver's license.
- CDK experience is a big plus
Benefits / Compensation:
- Compensation in the $80,000 - $95,000 range based on performance, with room for growth and no cap on commissions! Service Advisors are paid on both service and parts gross.
