Experienced Airfield Electrical Engineer

Crawford Murphy & Tilly (CMT) has a once in a lifetime opportunity to join their growing airfield electrical engineering team. This career-making role offers a great steppingstone for advancement with the potential in the future to lead the airfield electrical practice for the firm. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for technical oversight of the firm’s airfield electrical engineering projects. In addition, the individual will mentor junior engineers, provide quality control, and support clients and other team members to ensure high-quality designs are produced. Within this role, the engineer will work closely with the firm’s chief electrical engineer and have the opportunity for knowledge sharing and technical collaboration.

CMT has a well-established aviation practice that serves large and small commercial and military airports by providing a full range of engineering and planning services. This position will focus on providing electrical designs for airfield lighting and navigational aids projects. The aviation practice at CMT is known for its ability to work closely with client staff in a cross-disciplinary way to achieve superior results and deepen client relationships. This position will join and be supported by a versatile, highly skilled group of professionals with some of the industry’s top expertise. A collaborative and strategic approach has allowed this team to handle sensitive and complex military installations, time-constrained runways and taxiways improvements, and innovative maintenance plans that meet the budget realities and priorities of its clients.

Requirements:
• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 10+ years of experience
• Prior airfield lighting experience is required.
