■ Position Summary / About the Role (Fully On-site or Hybrid)

The firm provides accounting and bookkeeping outsourcing services primarily to U.S.-based subsidiaries of Japanese companies and Japanese businesses expanding into the U.S.

The Experienced Accounting Staff is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations as well as monthly and annual closing for multiple clients. This role plays a key part in supporting clients’ business growth from a financial perspective.


■ Key Responsibilities

◆ Daily Accounting Operations

  • Journal entries and maintenance of accounting records (AR, AP, expense reports)
  • Invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliations and balance verification
  • Review and process credit card and employee expense reports

◆ Monthly and Annual Closing

  • Assist with monthly closing (trial balance preparation, account analysis)
  • Fixed asset management and depreciation calculations
  • Inventory management and valuation
  • Assist with year-end closing and audit preparation

◆ Tax & Compliance Support

  • Prepare documentation related to sales tax filings
  • Assist in preparing materials for tax filings

◆ Client Support & Reporting

  • Prepare and explain monthly financial reports to clients
  • Support reporting to management and CFOs
  • Assist clients with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Escalate issues appropriately to managers and senior staff

■ Requirements

Must-have

  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting (journal entries, trial balance, closing)
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Nice-to-have

  • CPA / USCPA (or in progress)
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP systems)
  • Experience in accounting firms or outsourcing companies
  • Experience in English-based accounting and client communication
  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
