We are seeking an innovative and creative Executive Sous Chef with an elevated culinary background to join an established team near Asheville, NC. This position will assist the Executive Chef with the entire culinary operation of an upscale Smoky Mountain resort. Your main focus will be banquets and special events while assisting with the daily operations of a full-service upscale-casual restaurant. The resort promotes a relaxing atmosphere with upscale food presentation, using high-quality local ingredients. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy creating new seasonal menu items and have a coaching mentality with a desire to train and develop a culinary team. Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Banquet Chef or Sous Chef with banquet experience in an elevated hospitality or high-end dining establishment.
- Exceptional culinary skills and a history of creative menu development.
- Exposure to international cuisines, fine dining techniques, and modern culinary trends.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for motivating and developing teams.
- Expertise in managing kitchen operations, budgets, and food safety standards.
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
