The Opportunity
An organization is seeking a strategic, dynamic, and people-focused Executive HR Director to lead its Human Resources function during an exciting stage of organizational growth. As the Executive HR Director, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team and play an essential role in shaping company culture, driving workforce strategy, and supporting organizational excellence.
Position Summary
The Executive HR Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational strategy. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can align HR initiatives with company goals while fostering an engaging, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR leadership and guidance to executive leadership teams
- Align HR initiatives with overall organizational goals and business strategy
- Lead all core HR functions including:
- Talent acquisition
- Employee relations
- Compensation and benefits
- Leadership development
- Compliance and workforce planning
- Drive organizational development and succession planning initiatives to support long-term growth
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, programs, and systems that promote an inclusive, productive, and positive workplace culture
- Oversee performance management initiatives including coaching, employee engagement, corrective action, and leadership development
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Develop HR reporting metrics, dashboards, and analytics related to retention, engagement, and workforce performance
- Lead and mentor HR team members with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree or HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience required
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior or executive-level HR leadership role preferred
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor
- Strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, talent strategy, organizational development, and performance management
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Experience leading HR transformation initiatives or supporting organizational growth/scaling strongly preferred
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
