Executive Director
A mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and youth impacted by abuse or neglect is seeking a strategic and compassionate Executive Director. This leader will guide organizational strategy, build strong community partnerships, and drive financial sustainability. Leadership and Strategy
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic goals.
- Provide visionary leadership that enhances the organization’s impact and visibility.
- Align programs with the organization’s mission, values, and community needs.
Fundraising & Financial Oversight
- Lead fundraising efforts including major gifts, grants, events, and donor stewardship.
- Oversee budget development and financial reporting to ensure transparency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with all fiscal and legal requirements.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Serve as the public face of the organization to raise awareness and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and public officials.
- Advocate for the needs of the children and families served at community and policy levels.
Board & Governance
- Support Board development, governance best practices, and strategic engagement.
- Provide timely, accurate updates to inform decision-making.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new Board members.
Program & Team Management
- Oversee program quality in line with national standards for child advocacy and mentoring.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a strong, values-aligned staff team.
- Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of nonprofit leadership experience with a strong track record in fundraising, team management, and strategic execution.
- Skilled in financial oversight, board relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong communicator with excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child welfare, volunteer management, or court systems a plus.
- Committed to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices.
