Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of a thriving Southern community? We’re searching for an entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead a dynamic Convention & Visitors Bureau just south of Memphis. With a major expansion underway and growing momentum in tourism and entertainment, this is your chance to make a real mark.

This role is tailor-made for a driven CVB or DMO professional with a passion for booking national acts, energizing local partnerships, and elevating an already successful destination to new heights.

What You’ll Do:

🎤 Drive Entertainment & Events Strategy

  • Secure top-tier national performers and headline-worthy entertainment

  • Guide promotion strategies that draw visitors, boost overnight stays, and engage locals

  • Lead planning and execution of large-scale conventions, festivals, and community events

🏨 Champion Community & Hospitality Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with hotel operators, restaurateurs, venue managers, and civic leaders

  • Serve as the face of the CVB—present, visible, and involved across the community

  • Foster collaboration that enhances the region’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem

📊 Lead with Strategy & Vision

  • Create and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with the Board’s goals

  • Manage financial operations and ensure effective use of public and private resources

  • Guide marketing, tourism development, and public relations efforts to grow brand visibility

🏗️ Maximize New Development Opportunities

  • Leverage a major ongoing construction project to attract new conventions and large-scale events

  • Position the CVB as a central partner in shaping the region’s visitor economy for years to come

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ 3+ years as Executive Director of a CVB, DMO, or large event venue
✔️ Experience booking national entertainment and promoting major events
✔️ Strong community engagement mindset—hands-on, people-focused, and collaborative
✔️ Skilled leader with a track record of strategic planning and execution
✔️ Proven financial acumen in managing complex budgets and public funding
