Executive Director, Revenue Cycle - CLOSED
Saint Francis Health System, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system wholly governed and operated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has an outstanding opportunity for the newly created position of Executive Director, Revenue Cycle. Morgan Hunter HealthSearch has been retained to conduct this key search.
The health system is anchored by Saint Francis Hospital, a 1,112-bed tertiary center, which includes the region's only children's hospital and level IV neonatal intensive care unit, a 168-bed heart hospital and Tulsa's leading trauma and emergency center. Additional hospitals include Saint Francis Hospital South, Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, Saint Francis Hospital Vinita and Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital.
Opportunity: The Executive Director, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, is responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight and strategic direction to the system-wide revenue cycle. Reporting to this position is the Director of Patient Access, Director of Patient Financial Services and Director of Professional Billing. Total staff accountability is approximately 300.
Patient volumes are 66,000 annual admissions, 300,000 outpatient encounters and 170,000 emergency department visits. The revenue cycle is high performing, earning HFMA awards 11 of the last 12 years and recognized in the top 10% nationally in all metrics by Epic.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible positions within a complex healthcare organization. Must have understanding of the acute care hospital and physician practice operations, as well as other health care services. Demonstrated experience and responsibility in revenue cycle operations, including patient access, coding, billing, collections, managed care contracting and compliance.
A Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or healthcare administration is required, with a master’s preferred. Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to lead a broad range of audiences. Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities. Experience with Epic preferred.
