EXECUTIVE CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR Needed!
Based full-time in Mobile, the Industrial Site Installation Director will oversee a multidisciplinary team of employees (supervisors and technical), mechanical and electrical subcontractors, administrative assistant, logistic coordinator, and Safety Representative. Between 100 and 150 workers including our management will be present at site at the highest level of work execution. The Site Installation Director will also support the project manager and serve as the main contact of the installation team for the internal and customer meetings.
As the Site Installation Director, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. With your keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning the construction phases and overseeing the progress from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your key responsibilities will include budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the project installation phase.
Your expertise in project management will be crucial in coordinating resources, resolving any issues that may arise, and delivering successful construction projects.
The Site Installation Director will report to our Executive Director based in the home office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee and direct the construction phase of the project from pre-mobilization to the demobilization.
•Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
•Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with the customer’s building and safety regulations and rules.
•Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
•Meet contractual conditions of performance
•Review the work progress on a daily basis
•Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
•Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
•Obtain permits and licenses
•Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
•Ensure quality client’s standards and the use of proper construction techniques
•Ensure that self and others adhere to company health and safety practices and procedures
•Understand safety policies and protocols
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
•BS degree in construction management, engineering or related field
•Proven working experience in construction management for project of this size
•Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
•Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
•Understanding of all facets of the construction process
•Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
•Leadership and human resources management skills
•Excellent time and project management skills
