An esteemed AmLaw200 firm is actively seeking a seasoned Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Partner to join our dynamic team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of executive compensation and employee benefits, including compliance issues, ERISA requirements, and benefits litigation.
- Design and implement comprehensive employee benefits plans tailored to meet client needs and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate, draft, and review plan documents and contracts ensuring the terms are beneficial and compliant with all legal requirements.
- Lead and mentor junior attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and excellence.
- Stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and market changes affecting executive compensation and employee benefits, using insights to guide clients effectively.
- Maintain client relationships and develop new business opportunities, ensuring the firm's ongoing growth within the practice area.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and member of the Florida Bar or certification pending.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits within a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, HIPAA, and other relevant federal regulations affecting employee benefit plans.
- Demonstrated excellence in drafting documents, negotiating deals, and navigating complex legal scenarios.
- Proven track record of ethical practice, including maintaining client confidences and adhering to all professional responsibilities.
- Capability to independently manage a large and diverse caseload with multiple concurrent deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Portable book of business with existing client relationships in the realm of executive compensation and benefits.
- Experience in handling matters at all stages of dispute resolution including litigation and appeals.
- Specialization in specific sectors such as finance, healthcare, or emerging tech industries.
- Leadership experience or roles within professional networks or legal associations.
- Recognition by peers or industry entities for expertise in employee benefits law.
- Prior roles with substantial interaction with federal regulatory agencies.
