Our client is a 5* boutique resort with +/- 50 Keys. Resort is part of a very small, very successful and growing group with a very unique concept.
This role will be reporting directly to the General Manager.
Please note that this position is available for Indonesian Nationals only.
Profile
• Young, energetic, hands-on chef with ample experience in restaurants (free-standing or signature restaurants of resorts)
• Culinary school background
• Strong focus on Indonesian cuisine; simple and authentic (no need for fusion)
• Very strong current #2 ready for the next step would also be considered
• Very motivated and with a lot of passion for food
• Passionate to cook, work with local ingredients and culture
• Loves cooking and produces food of high level with great attention to presentation
• Able to co-ordinate the day to day kitchen operations
• Great cooking techniques, innovative, creative
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with great eye for detail
• Highly developed organizational and time management skills
• Hygiene & HACCP competent
• People friendly, sensitive to staff needs and a great team player
• Strong customer relations skills with a focus on guest engagement
• Quality oriented
• Positive thinking with a “can-do” attitude
• Flexible working hours
• Strong in food cost and stock control
• Good command of English spoken and written
• Computer literate
