Events Coordinator

Large national company seeks an Event Coordinator to plan 7 major events and 43 smaller events throughout the year.  This is a position with great organization and planning skills.  The right person will be good at backward planning and having several events in the queue.  The right candidate must be good at working with others and making sure that they are meeting deadlines and be able to follow up with them but not be too overbearing but as the same time make sure they come through.  There could be some crises management capabilities that will be inherent in the position but the more someone is on top of things the less crises management that will have to be tolerated by the whole organization.  So it is a rare person that is organized to the highest degree but at the same time can function in a hectic environment from time to time.  Good judgment skills will pay off as well.  Someone with marketing abilities and skills will allow the organization to grow and be more profitable.  Someone that has been in the catering, food service and or hotel industry might be real good because all most all of the events have a big food and beverage element to it.  Someone from retail and or the restaurant food service industry might work as well.  Salary 37k to start with the opportunity to grown into other management positions is real strong.
