Event Manager (Temporary / On-Call)

Compensation: $20/hr

Role Summary:

We are seeking a professional Event Manager for a temporary, on-call assignment in Oakland. This role is primarily focused on the coordination and execution of an upcoming Open Studio event. Candidates must be reliable and capable of managing both client needs and physical event logistics.

Required Availability:

• Pre-event Prep: Wednesday, September 23 (min. 4 hours) and Wednesday, September 30 (6–8 hours).
• Event Day: October 2, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (includes on-site setup and breakdown).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive event execution and client coordination.
• Manage on-site setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, sound systems, food service stations, and decorations.
• Maintain property appearance and functionality during the event.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to interpret and execute requirements from detailed event spec sheets.
• Reliable transportation and strict adherence to on-call scheduling.

Willingness to undergo a background check and reference screening managed by PTS.
